I highly recommend Bassenthwaite Lake Station to guests staying in Little Broughton for its unique blend of history, dining, and scenic beauty. Located just a short drive away, this restored railway station features a full-size replica of the French SNCF Class 241 steam engine, famously used in the 2017 film adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express.
Syke Farm Tea Room in Buttermere is a charming spot offering delicious homemade food in a cosy, welcoming atmosphere.
