We absolutely loved staying here! Very easy to find, very private and peaceful! The walks are amazing. You have everything you need in close proximity, the pub down the road is fab, the village bakery is great too! Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Lovely place to spend a bank holiday weekend. The Byre was the perfect, peaceful getaway to rest and recharge. The decor was beautiful and the welcome hamper was such a thoughtful touch. There was everything we needed to feel right at home, including an adjustable fence to make the garden secure for our two dogs, who also loved their stay. Great pub and cafe within walking distance, and scenic walks from the doorstep. We had a trip out to Penrith, Long Meg and a lovely walk in the grounds of Melmerby Hall.
